FAQ

CSV to XLSX

Does ConvertME preserve the column structure of my CSV?
Yes. Comma-separated values are mapped to columns in the XLSX output. Headers in the first row are preserved. Values that contain commas (properly quoted in the CSV) are handled correctly without splitting across columns.
What Excel version is the output XLSX compatible with?
The output is compatible with Excel 2007 and later (.xlsx format), Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, Numbers, and all other modern spreadsheet applications.
My CSV has special characters — will they appear correctly in Excel?
ConvertME processes CSV files as UTF-8. Accented characters, currency symbols, and most special characters are preserved. If your CSV uses a different encoding, re-save it as UTF-8 in a text editor before converting.
My CSV uses semicolons (common in Brazil and Europe). What should I do?
ConvertME maps comma-separated values to columns. If your export uses semicolons, which is common where the comma is the decimal mark, re-export the file with commas as the separator before converting. Our CSV to Excel guide explains how to check the separator.

Most free tools make money by processing and analyzing the contents of your files. We don't. DocsMe was built with local document processing as a first-class feature, not an afterthought.
